20-year-old Anjela Borisova Urumova has been sentenced to 45 days to 23 months in a Pennsylvania jail after falsely accusing a complete stranger of rape and kidnapping.
The man — a father — was arrested in front of his wife and kids, and spent nearly a month behind bars before the case unraveled. Prosecutors say she made the entire story up after calling 911 from a stranger’s house. Critics are calling the sentence way too light for a lie that nearly ruined a man’s life.
